Project Life | Weeks 49-50

For the month of December I am taking on a photo a day approach. So during this week, Oliver the Elf was up to his normal antics, we  got some snow, and our house was fully decorated.

We watched the Sound of Music live, saw the movie Frozen, met Santa, and Taylor had her Christmas program cast party.

Week 50 Taylor lost another tooth, still lots of snow, and I worked in our corporate office for a couple of days.

Over the weekend we took the kids to Parker for a horse drawn carriage ride and then to the Denver Zoo. Fun times! We love exploring our new community.

Project Life | Weeks 47 & 48

Week 47 was a cold one as it snowed here. The kids absolutely love it. Hank spent some one-on-one time with Landon and took him bowling.

I included several photos of the snow. Taylor loves to just sit and look out her window that overlooks the front yard.

Week 48 was a great one... Thanksgiving at Tim and Vickey's house and Oliver our elf came back to live with us for a month...

Hank took the boys to a car show with some of the guys from our family while Taylor and I enjoyed a girls day out. We also took the kids ice skating for the first time. They really enjoyed that and want to go back again...soon!

Project Life | Week 46

This week started off with Hank and I recovering from the flu and a visit from Oma and Opa. I am so thankful my parents came. They spent time with the kids and helped me to finish unpacking and hanging photos. Another fun thing is that we had the tile laid in our master bath and I absolutely love it!

On Friday after school, we checked out a nearby library. We also had a short but sweet visit with our sweet Arizona friends, the Shepherds. And this week we visited Southeast Christian Church and all of us loved it. Looking forward to going back!

Project Life | Weeks 44 & 45

Week 44 Grandma Carol came for a visit. The kid were on Fall Break and I had to work. So having Grandma here for a few days to spend time with the kids was the perfect solution. She spent time with them and took them to a museum. They had a great time. And the kids' great grandpa Vern even came over for a visit.

Grandma Carol let right before Halloween. We ended up go to a Harvest Festival at a local church. It was a little too cold for my liking, but the kids had fun. I also included the kids school photos in this week's layout.

Week 45 must have been a busy work week for me because I took very few photos.

We did finally rake up the leaves in the front yard though...and jumped in them a time or two before bagging them up.

Project Life | Weeks 39, 42 & 43

Back tracking to week 39, we were still in the hotel, enjoying the weather, playing with cousins, and rushing Landon to urgent care to glue his hand back together after he tried to cut his own apple. Ugh....

That weekend we took the kids to Chatfield State Park and watched a Broncos game at Tim and Vickey's. These Colorado folks take their football seriously!

Week 42...day trip back to the Downtown Aquarium with Amee and Arya, a hot chocolate and grocery shopping date with Landon, and setting up our home.

...and our second snow day. Kids loved it! I loved it too before I realized that I accidentally locked us out of the house :(

Week 43...our household goods were delivered...feeling a bit overwhelmed to see half of our 3-car garage stuffed to the rim with boxes...dance, playing in the freshly fallen leaves, and Ryland's artwork from school

Girls night out for a cocktails and canvas party, painting Taylor's bedroom, and our fall family photo shoot.

Project Life | Week 40 & 41

I can't believe how far I have gotten on updating my project life spreads. Guess you can tell that we have been a little busy around here! Week 39 was awesome! I was able to go on a fieldtrip with Taylor and Landon's class to Miller Farms, and it did not disappoint. This week while we were still in the hotel, it snowed!

Over the weekend, we took the kids down to Larkspur and checked out their pumpkin patch. The kids loved everything there especially the slide. We are really getting comfortable in our new surroundings.

Week 40 we celebrated Hank's 37th birthday. I can't believe how the years keep on creeping up on us. We had a park date with cousins...

and finally MOVED INTO OUR HOUSE on October 12. It was such a great day. Even though our household goods wouldn't be delivered for another week, we were happy to sleep on air mattresses. Oma Mies was able to come over for an afternoon as well before heading back to Arizona.

Project Life | Weeks 37-38

As we get settled into a new city and are staying in temporary housing, we are anxiously counting down the days until we can move into our new home. The temps is Colorado are cooling and us warm-blooded Arizonans are getting used to a new climate. This week, I attended a Grandparents Day event at the kids school since all of their grandparents live out of town. The kids wanted me there, and I was happy to be a part of it. Over the weekend, we attended Denver's Downtown Aquarium.

It was such a great experience, we ended up by a membership. Since it rained a lot, we kept warm by staying indoors and doing fun things like flipping through books at Barnes & Noble and drinking hot chocolate.

The week consisted of visiting Hank's cousin Sean and supporting him during his recovery, taking the kids bowling, parent-teacher meetings, and more.

I included photo booth pics and a piece of Ryland's artwork from school as well as photos from a park that we visited with our extended family. Fun days!

Project Life | Week 34-36

First week of school in Arizona. I included our busy weekly schedule and some photos of goodbye dinners with friends.

This page included Ryland's 4 year well check, send off at church, saying goodbye to friends, and Taylor's last dance class at LA Dance. Such a big week for us. The move is getting close.

Week 35 is all about the move to Colorado. I included a photo of Carol and my kids as she took them out to ice cream one last time after school. We will miss those moments. Saying goodbye with some friends at school...Ryland breaking fracturing his elbow and being sent to Phoenix Children's Hospital the day we packed up our U-Haul.

On Friday we started the long trek to Colorado and stayed the night in New Mexico on the way. It was a pretty smooth drive except for the 4-hour delay on the freeway.

Week 36 is all about our first week in Colorado. Don and Carol were still in town since they helped up move and helped us get settled into our hotel. This week the kids attended their new school by our future house, and Taylor attended her first dance class at Starstruck. I even included a photo of Hank for his first day at his new job. Since we have family here, we spent a couple of days with Shauna and her kids. It still feels like we are on an extended vacation for now.....

Project Life | Week 33

This week we said goodbye to our summer babysitter, Kim, who helped watch the kids this summer while I worked full time from home. We also went swimming several evenings as a family.

This week we also celebrated Ryland's 4th birthday and threw him a party at Peter Piper Pizza. He loved it! During the day, we took the kids to see the new Disney Planes movie...it was adorable.

Project Life | Week 32

Week 32 we said goodbye to my parents before our move, Carol took the kids to the zoo and Ryland played with his new Cars track all day long.

This week we also celebrated my father-in-law's 60th birthday and threw him a party. I also received Taylor's professional dance photos and loved them!

Project Life | Week 31

Enjoyed dinner and a beautiful sunset and Grandma and Grandpa's house...Taylor learned a new stretching pose at dance, and she lost two teeth within 24 hours. The tooth fairy is officially broke!

The kids are wrapping up summer with tumbling and pool parties.

Project Life | Week 30

More memories at grandma and grandpa's house and only 4 weeks left of summer.

Lots of pool time, packing, and pancakes.

Project Life | Week 29

This week was all about our adventure to Colorado. We ended up finding the perfect home for us and our home here in Arizona sold all in a matter of days. We are excited for this next chapter in our lives.

My in-laws took the grandkids camping for the weekend while we were away. They had such a good time and came home with great photos and precious memories.

Project Life | Week 28

With only 6 weeks left of summer, we are staying busy. Nightly trips to the pool help us to survive the summer heat. Time at Grandma's is always fun hence the photo of them with temporary tattoos all over.
Hank took the kids on a camping trip with a couple of dads and their kids. It was a great adventure for them and a break from the heat.

While Hank and the kids were camping, my and a few girlfriends met up in California for a girls' trip. California is so beautiful. I love it there! I will always treasure the memories of moments away with special friends.

Project Life | Week 27

This week our friends from Sweden were staying with us. For Independence Day, we took them to Peoria Sports Complex for waterslides and Fireworks. We also enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Marv and Robyn's house. It was a great day all around.

We also were given tickets to Wet 'n Wild which was a total blast for the kids. Our friends from Sweden loved it too. Lots of great memories with our dear friends. It was truly sad when they left.

Project Life | Week 26

This week is such a special week for our family...especially for Ryland actually who LOVES the circus. We also stayed busy with friends and attending a rodeo-themed birthday party. Even in the heat we find ways to have fun.

More photos at the circus and of the kids musical at church to celebrate 4th of July.
