Project Life | Week 12

I turned 36 years old this week. I had little expectations for my birthday but was pleasantly surprised! My birthday was on a Wednesday, so Tuesday night Hank and the kids had me open a few presents. I opened 3 gift cards: massage + pedicure + Starbucks. Hank had already scheduled the massage and pedi for me to enjoy the next day...my birthday. I loved every minute of it :)

Since Hank was out of town for the weekend, the kids and I stayed with my parent's at their resort casita for the weekend. We were able to spend more time with my Granny who is visiting from Canada. Opa and Oma took the kids swimming, taught them how to play Uno, and accompanied us to the Scottsdale train park where Landon will be having his birthday party in a couple of weeks. Great weekend!

Project Life | Week 11

The World Wildlife Zoo made a little visit to the kids' school this week.I also included the kids' progress reports from school as well as some fun photos of the kids. I have a photo of Taylor doing a crazy back bend at dance class and then one of Ryland playing with his new Cars on one of our dates.

The weekend was all about family bikes rides. We had a few hiccups along the way, but the family rides were definitely our favorite memory. Hank spent time tuning up the bikes. The first ride was about a 5 mile ride where we made it to Subway for dinner. The next day we rode to a park for picnic dinner in the park. I absolutely love this time of year!

Project Life | Week 10

Week 10 already...not too much happened this week. We walked to the park a couple of times since the weather was nice. They kids love the park by our house. I also took a trip down memory lane and drove by my high school and childhood home. Ryland was so bored he passed out... ha ha!

This week Oma Mies came over for a sleepover. She played hide and seek with the kids and they loved every moment of her visit. Taylor also noticed the lettuce was ready to pick from our garden and it was yummy! Landon is starting to read and that is super exciting in itself!

Project Life | Week 9

I've gotten into a bad habit of not taking photos lately. Mainly because the camera on my phone is poor quality and the little camera that I carried in my purse finally broke. So for my birthday, I will be asking for an iphone...a two-in-one and the perfect gift for me. WEEK 9 included an ice cream date with some sweet friends and some random photos from my cell phone.

This week also included a birthday party at Playgroundz and Taylor's 3rd dance competition. We are loving the competitions but are also thankful for a month-long break too. I am also loving my Silhouette for cut outs and personal designs.

Project Life | Week 8

Sorry the photo quality is so bad this week...I didn't have the time to retake them so I am making due with what I have. WEEK 8 was all about Spring Break. Grandma Carol took all of the grandkids to the Wildlife Zoo on Tuesday while I worked. They still talk about all of the animals they saw that day. The kids and I were also able to spend some time with my Aunt Monica who was down here for a visit. It's always good to be with family!

Taylor had her second dance competition this week and rocked it! She was super good and made us realize she really does love this! The kids spent most of the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa so that Hank and I could have a break. On Sunday we went to the NHRA races...a first for me. It was a super chilly day so we only lasted there for a few hours but then we had the rest of the day to ourselves and we enjoyed it!
