Our Day at Disneyland

Wiped Out
The 8 hour drive home with household chores and computer work to catch up gave me an instant headache. But finding out that the little boy, only 3 years old, living across the street from us choked on a french fry and died on Friday, the day we were enjoying ourselves at Disneyland, leaves me exhausted and a bit numb at the moment. The news was waiting for us right as we walked in the door. I'm sick to my stomach. That little boy was someone's most prized possession. I can't even imagine.
So due to the fact that I am COMPLETELY wiped out, I'm just posting a few of my photos of the day. The good stuff will have to be posted tomorrow.

This Makes Me Happy
This wall of photos is the first thing that I look at in the morning and the last thing my eyes see before falling sleeping at night. Hank and I worked on this project this past weekend, and I am thrilled with the way it turned out. This seriously could have been my only birthday present and I would have been happy.

It's All About Me
"It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to...
You would cry too if it happened to you."
Those words just can't leave my head. The last-minute hand surgery was scheduled for yesterday...the day before my 33rd birthday. It was either now or push it back a month. And when something "not fun" is in my near future, I don't like to procrastinate. So I went with it. The surgery wasn't bad at all. In fact, I've had little to no pain. The only thing that isn't fun is the anesthesia. I have been so tired and groggy. The upside is that Hanky is taking care of the little ones while I rest.
Today we celebrated in our regular fashion by heading to Hot Bagels for breakfast. Hank surprised me by giving my a hard-bound book with all of my blog entries and photos. He often mocks me for my hobby of blogging and sharing our life to the world, but in the end I think he really likes it. At least our children will appreciate the countless hours and stories I recap on this blog. The book is beautiful and so creative. For dinner, we headed to Pita Jungle for a yummy dinner with family. It was a good day after all!

Thank you, Joanna!
Once again Joanna pulled through for me. The photo shoot couldn't have lasted longer than 20 minutes. As soon as the kids saw Kat, Brody, Quinn and all of their toys, the shoot ended! I wanted photos to document Taylor turning 3, Landon turning 2, and Ryland at 6 months. Here are some of the yummy photos.
