Project Life | Week 16

Our week started up in Greer with family. Landon and Taylor tried fishing for the first time, and we enjoyed nature walks.

More photos of our nature walk, and Opa showing Ryland the snow.

During the same week, we headed to San Clemente to stay with family and enjoy the beach and a surprise trip to Disneyland. Such a wonderful memory! At one point in the day, Taylor leaned over and told me, "Mom, you know what makes Disneyland so special?" I said, "What honey?" She replied, "It's where dreams come true." I would say Disney marketing is quite effective!

This time, the kids were more focused on meeting the characters. We literally sat in line for hours to get signatures and photos. It's ok though because this day was for the children. They called most of the shots, and I was quite ok with that.

Project Life | Week 15

Week 15 started off on Easter Sunday. The kids woke up to Easter baskets full of goodies and hunted for 68 eggs in the backyard. Then we headed to church...the first time in a long time that we were all healthy again.

Monday night we headed to my in-laws for Easter dinner. The kids played on the golf course and we hid eggs for them again. This week Landon also turned 4! I can't believe my little boy is so big. We celebrated by eating dinner out. Also this week the kids attended a birthday party at Pump It Up. It was Ryland's first time there and he loved it so much. At the end of the week we took the kids to Disney on Ice and Ryland fell in love with Mickey Mouse. To this day he still talks about Mickey Mouse.

On Saturday we had Landon's 4th birthday party at our house. Friends and family members made it so special from him. My grandmother flew in from Canada and was able to be part of Landon's special day.

My friend Carrie made a firetruck birthday cake. It was amazing. Landon definitely enjoyed the extra love and attention he was getting. It reminds me that my children really desire one-on-one time with me and I need to seek that out intentionally. Week 15 was a great week for our little family!

California Vacation

We just returned from our vacation to California. We had four full days there and it was quite wonderful...just too short. My great aunt from Florida and my grandmother along with my parents made the trip special. Here are some of my favorite photos of our first day and the visit to Disneyland.

Project Life | Week 14

Monday night we had a family dinner at my in-laws to celebrate Easter. The kids each had their own basket full of goodies and toys. I also captured a photo of Taylor with her new mermaid aquarium. I loved this idea! And the best thing is that the mermaids will never stink! We have also been tending to our backyard and getting it back to being green again. I love how it's coming along.

On Thursday I took the kids to the park. They love it so much! After that, my college roommate, Brandi, came over for a visit while she was in town. This was the first time that I was able to meet baby Hannah. And she was just precious!

Good Friday was one of my favorite memories from Easter. We spent the day with very good friends and enjoyed lunch and coloring eggs together. A few of our toddlers ended up half naked since they were really getting into it!

Project Life | Week 13

I'm still trying to catch up with Project Life. Week 13 was not a great week for us. In fact, I barely took any photos this week. I ended up being sick in bed for 5 days and the kids took turns being sick as well. The photo above of Taylor and Ryland is so sad. The photo of Landon cuddling with me is horrible, but I have to include it to capture the full story of this particular week. I also included lots of journaling and Taylor's potty pager reward chart for March. We stopped using the pager in the beginning of the month, and Taylor remained dry every single night this month. In fact, I can't even remember the last time she wasn't dry. So exciting for her!

One great thing about this week is that the people from our loving small group brought us meals for dinner while I was down and out. Another funny thing is that Ryland has started to use plastic hangers as his play horse. He loves to prance around the house on his horsey. So cute!

Project Life | Week 12

Week 12 started off in a unique way! It hailed so much on Sunday that our backyard was covered with hail that resembled snow. So we pushed our couches together, prepared the popcorn, grabbed our favorite drinks and rented Winnie the Pooh for a family movie day. I included photos from our day as well as some journaling and tracing work that Taylor did at school.

I turned 35 on Tuesday....such a milestone that makes me feel old. I will deal with it I guess. My parents came over and Hank took me out to dinner to one of my favorite restaurants, The Cheesecake Factory. My parents took the kids on a bike ride and my mom bought all three kids new shoes. Taylor loves her new shoes that light up when she walks and was super excited to wear them to school.
