Review | NHRA Races

Today our family headed to the NHRA races at Firebird International Raceway. Sadly, this raceway will be closing down this year. I have never been to an NHRA event or even seen drag racing in person...so I was in for something new.

My husband and I had a great time...something that I can mark off on my bucket list. The weather was chilly so that made me and the kids uncomfortable. Between the cold weather and the extremely loud noises from the "funny cars," my kids ended up leaving after an hour with Grandma and Grandpa. They had enough. Needless to say, I really wouldn't recommend this event for kids under the age of 5.

My hubby loved the racing and thought it was even better than Monster Jam. I felt differently but enjoyed something new and different. Ear plugs are a must!

Project Life | Week 7

Week 7 was all about Valentine's Day! The week started off with some afternoon rain and we loved it. On Wednesday night, it was my turn to host our Polished Pebbles group. For Valentine's Day, I packed heart-shaped sandwiches in the kids' lunch boxes and let them open up some gifts. Landon was pretty happy to get a Superman action hero.

In this layout, I also included a pocket page to hold all of the kids and crafts from Valentine's Day.

On Friday, I helped with Taylor's class party. The kids played BINGO and made a craft. I was able to peek into the preschool room and watch the boys dance and enjoy their treat. Such good memories.

Project Life | Week 6

This week we prepped for Valentine's Day parties and I made the kids lots of heart-shaped sandwiches! The picture of Landon at school was taken by Miss Ally of him practicing his tying skills.

This week was also Taylor's first dance competition and it was so much fun. I was also asked to be a driver for Taylor's kindergarten fieldtrip to the Phoenix Art Museum and that was pretty cool! I finally got Taylor in for her 6-year-old well-check and interviewed her now that she is 6. I included the interview questions and answers in this week's layout.

I included an insert with the photos of Taylor dancing on stage as well as her first ribbon!

Dance Competition | Funky Monkey

Taylor had her first dance competition last weekend and the girls looked adorable. This is the first of four competitions in the next few months. I am amazed at how much Taylor is enjoying this and loves competing with her dance friends. I am just so thankful that she has this opportunity. {Jazz Girls 5-7}

Project Life | Week 5

Lots of rain and sickness this week. Hank took Landon to their first Contenders study and built a bird house together. Landon was quite proud and so adorable. Taylor gave me one of her work lists from school and told me that I could scrapbook. This girl knows me well :)

Taylor had a dress rehearsal for an upcoming dance competition. She is really enjoying her time with the girls in the dance class. Early Saturday morning, Hank had to rush Ryland to the ER for croup and then Sunday afternoon he came down with pink eye. Both Taylor and Landon are trying to get over their coughs. I am looking forward to warmer weather so that we can put this past us!
